Keynote

Today is the macworld keynote, right now I am following it here.

I am hoping for a 3G iPhone that is subsidized by At&t. That would be sweet.

Anyway, a guy can dream right.

Technology

I just read this interesting blog post today and tend to agree with it. The irony of the whole thing is that I am posting about it and not talking about it. . . . .

Artistry. . . . .

I am an artist.

Yes, that's right. I may be a "techy" but I think of it more as art than tech. Since I feel that my primary goal as a tech is to effect how people connect God in a worship service, from the color of the lights, to the jumpback on the screen, and in the audio mix of the band and worship leaders. It's all art to me.

I also am an artist because I make music. I wish I had more energy and drive to make music more often but in the fast paced life that I am in right now, I just don't have the energy to want to sit down with other musicians and create music.

I love going to art gallery's, art shows, and seeing all different kinds of art out in the world. I wish I could paint and draw well, but I can't so I just like to appreciate the different artists in the world. This also goes for sculpture, theatre, and every type of concert, e.g- Symphonic, Rock, DJ sets, etc.

Tony Morgan made a few good points on why the church needs artist. I agree with him. . . . .
